Where are you from originally?
The Netherlands.

What was your first ever job?
I started off as a waiter in a bar/restaurant and
later became the manager.

What was your favourite subject in school?
Physics.

What languages do you speak?
German, Spanish, English and Dutch.

How long have you been living on the Costa Brava?
13 years.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy watching movies and doing small jobs around the house.

When did you start callCarlos, and how
did you arrive at the name?
We started 7 years ago. The name just kind of popped up.
It’s international and I think people understand immediately
what it’s supposed to stand for.

What made you start the business?
The desire to eliminate the hassle for people so they can
have more quality time to enjoy life.

What is your role within the company?
I am the manager of the company.

What did you do before callCarlos?
I had a video-conferencing company for 10 years.

If you weren’t running callCarlos, what do
you think you’d be doing instead?
Digging up dinosaurs in a desert somewhere!

Best and worst moments with callCarlos?
Best:
We are a family! The family moments with
the team are the best.
Worst:
That’s an easy one; when COVID started!

If you could change one thing about callCarlos,
what would it be?
We are changing things every day! We are constantly striving to
improve to give the customer the best experience.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Surrounded by an even bigger family and serving even more
happy customers on the Costa Brava.
